We think 57˚ Mala Xiang Guo offers a broad Chinese menu, with a particular focus on BBQ fish and various noodle dishes.
The BBQ fish, specifically the 'green river fish' with green chili preparation, is noted for its good size and meaty texture.
Portions are generally generous, with some items like the salt & pepper mushroom being surprisingly large.
While some find the food on the saltier side, others consider it acceptable.
The Dao Xiao beef noodle and stir-fried cabbage also receive positive mentions.
However, there are inconsistent reports regarding food quality; one review cited spoiled meat and off-tasting onions, which is a significant concern.
Despite this, the restaurant is generally considered pocket-friendly and good value, especially with potential discounts.
We'd recommend it for those looking for a diverse Chinese menu, but advise caution regarding ingredient freshness.
Best for an early dinner to avoid crowds.

The meat in our dish was spoiled, but the staff insisted all their ingredients was freshly cut since “morning”. On top of that, the onions in another dish we ordered were also spoiled and tasted off.…
Mom found this place rather fun, exploring foods she hasn't had. Not as heavy on MSG, but there's still some. Fish was yummy, noodle portion was pretty darn generous.
Pretty good and affordable Chinese restaurant with an extensive menu. Cabbage and potatoes were delicious, and my companion swears by the fried dumplings.
