Our take: 651 Ayam Penyet appears to be a solid option for Indonesian fare, particularly their namesake Ayam Penyet.
Reviewers consistently praise the chicken for being crispy and tender, with some highlighting the generous portions.
The sambal receives special mention for its spice and flavour, and the option to add kicap manis freely is a definite plus for some.
Beyond the Ayam Penyet, the Mee Goreng and Nasi Lemak also seem to be popular choices, with customers happy to find their favourites here.
However, there are occasional reports of inconsistency, with one reviewer noting an overcooked and dry chicken on a particular visit.
This suggests that while the highs are high, the quality might fluctuate.
We'd recommend managing expectations for absolute consistency, but generally, it's a place that delivers on flavour and portion size.
Worth trying if you're in the area and craving a good Ayam Penyet, especially if you appreciate a spicy kick.

This was surprisingly good ayam penyet, partly because you can add as much kicap manis as you like! Add! It goes well with the curry. The chili was a tad spicy for me. The chicken was the highlight, s…
Today very disappointed for the Ayam penyet . Mostly the chicken is very tender but today is like over cooked and dry and stiff . Hope that you improve on the food quality
Love the ayam penyet and mee rebus. One of the best I ever had. Especially the Ayam penyet. The chicken is big and crispy. Ask for extra sambal(and they give) because it is really spicy and good!
Newly opened. Fast service. Food proportion is big enough. Takeaway cost additional 30 cents.
