Our take on A Star Parata suggests a mixed bag, with some dishes shining brighter than others.
While one reviewer praises the 'awesome' parata, biryani, and curries, others highlight inconsistencies.
The mutton biryani, priced at $7, is described as 'normal' with adequately cooked mutton but salty accompanying vegetables and soft papadum, suggesting freshness can be an issue, especially later in the day.
The Coin Prata is a point of contention; it comes with sugar baked into the dough, which can be an unwelcome surprise for those expecting a savoury option or watching their sugar intake.
Customers are not consistently informed about this or offered curry.
We think it's best to clarify the preparation of the Coin Prata if you prefer it without sugar or with curry.
Despite reports of slow service even when quiet, the overall consensus points to reasonable portion sizes and generally good taste for the price.
We'd recommend visiting in the afternoon to avoid potential freshness issues with items like biryani, but be prepared for a wait regardless of the crowd.
Best for those seeking a quick, affordable Indian Muslim meal, but be specific with your order.

I came when not many people were around so food was ready relatively quickly. I ordered the coin prata, thinking it’d come with curry like most everywhere else. I only realised they didn’t give curry…
Best Indian Muslim food stall in whole of Anchorvale. Parata, biryani, mutton and chicken curry are all awesome and the vada are too good so tender and smooth. Great taste for the price
Food was great for indian food . Went at 5pm . No queue and no other person but it took 20 mins for my food to be ready .
