Our take: Aashiq Restaurant offers a mix of local favourites, with a strong emphasis on their seafood chicken rice and other halal-friendly options.
We note the ongoing process for a halal license, which is a key consideration for many diners.
The Mutton Murtabak and Pandan Tea receive consistent praise, with one reviewer calling them 'damned good.' The duck and chicken dishes are also highlighted as very good, though the roasted and barbecue pork are considered average.
The restaurant's location in an older, leafy neighbourhood is appreciated for its relaxed atmosphere and easy parking.
However, we've seen feedback regarding the dining area being small and prone to congestion, suggesting a need for an upgrade.
Despite the potential for crowds, especially on late Sunday nights, staff are noted for being helpful in seating guests.
We think Aashiq is a solid choice for a relaxed meal, particularly if you're in the mood for their signature murtabak or chicken dishes.
Best for those seeking a casual, unpretentious dining experience in a quiet setting, but be prepared for a potentially cramped dining space during peak hours.

Came here late sunday night and it was crowded. But managed to get seats with the help of staff. Food and drinks were nice!
It nice, besides restaurant selling seafood chicken rice and sea food very nice, it no pork, applying halal license now.
Damned good mutton murtabak and pandan tea. In an old leafy neighborhood without traffic fumes / sounds.... Really nice to relak 1 korner here...
The duck and chicken were very good. The roasted pork and barbecue pork were of average. The staff are friendly and parking lots can easily be found.
The restaurant needs an upgrade. Dining area is too small and often gets knocked around by moving customers while eating seated inside restaurant.
