Our take: Adam's Fried Hokkien Mee appears to be a misnomer, as the Hokkien Mee itself receives consistent criticism for lacking wok hei, being bland, and having ingredient substitutions (fish cake instead of squid).
Reviewers frequently describe it as one of the worst they've had.
However, the white carrot cake seems to be a hidden gem, with one reviewer calling it 'yummy' and noting a generous portion for $4.
The fried kway teow also gets mixed reviews, with some finding it 'ok' but lacking wok hei and being a bit watery, though the $4-6 price point for fresh cockles and prawns is considered reasonable.
We'd suggest skipping the Hokkien Mee entirely and trying the white carrot cake instead.
The stall owner is noted for being friendly, which is a plus, but doesn't compensate for the main dish's shortcomings.
Best for those in the area looking for a quick, affordable bite, but not a destination for Hokkien Mee.

What customers say
Public sentiment for Adam's Fried Hokkien Mee is mixed, with significant disappointment regarding the Hokkien Mee itself, often cited as lacking 'wok hey' and flavor, and containing substitutions like fish cake for squid.
In contrast, the white carrot cake receives positive feedback for its taste and generous portion size.
Service from staff is occasionally highlighted as friendly, but overall food quality, particularly for the signature dish, is a recurring concern.
