Our take: Alsa Nasi Padang, located in Kallang, appears to be consistently criticised for its high prices and overly salty food.
Multiple reviewers highlight dishes like sambal goreng and various chicken preparations as being excessively seasoned with salt.
For instance, a plate with one chicken and two vegetables reportedly cost $11, while rice with a fish cake and sambal goreng was $6.10.
Customers also express disappointment with small portion sizes, particularly for the price, with one reviewer calling their ayam penyet the "worst." The recurring theme across reviews points to a significant issue with sodium levels and value for money.
We'd advise caution if you are sensitive to salt or looking for budget-friendly options.
Skip this one; the consistent feedback on saltiness and high prices suggests better alternatives exist.

This is probably one of the most expensive Malay rice stalls in Singapore. I was charged $6.10 for rice with a piece of fish cake and sambal goreng. Sambal goreng was very salty.
The hard-boiled egg suspected to be reuse. Smelled bad. For ayam penyet, soup is too salty, tofu is sour, chicken not fresh. Both meals were breakfast in different days
I've had my worst ayam penyet in my life here. Portion size is also so small for the price. Instant regret buying from this stall. Avoid at all cost.
Went here as the q was short. Food was salty.. 1 chicken and 2 veggies was $11.
