Editor’s Note

Last updated 29 May 2026

Our take on Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant is that it offers a generally positive dining experience, particularly for those seeking authentic South Indian cuisine.

We note consistent praise for the service, with staff often highlighted for their warmth and attentiveness.

The Family Sized Dosa, priced at $12, appears to be a standout item, frequently described as delicious, light, and substantial enough for two.

Other popular dishes include the seraga samba mutton briyani and chicken tikka, with the mango lassi also receiving high marks for its quality.

While most feedback points to good food and affordable rates, there are occasional criticisms, such as a dry chicken biryani or less-favored Dindigul prawns.

We think Anjappar is a strong contender for a satisfying Indian meal, especially if you're looking for a well-made dosa or a hearty thali.

It's a reliable option for a comfortable dining experience with good service.

Meet the family sized dosa! It’s $12 and long enough to feed 2 people for a main. I’ve never had a plain dosa / thosai this big in my life. It’s so delicious and has a very elevated and light taste. T…

We tried chicken biriyani. It was dry, chicken is old, surprisingly chicken biriyani had mutton pieces as well. Not the best biriyani we tried. Not recommended. Filter cofee is good though.
