Editor’s Note

Last updated 30 May 2026

Our take: Annuur Restaurant offers a range of Indian dishes, with some patrons highlighting the quality of their Tosey Masala ($3.50/pc) and Roti Prata ($1.30/pc).

We note positive comments on the softness of the prata and the unique dalca sauce, with some even comparing the Indian side dishes favorably to Nasi Kandar restaurants in Malaysia.

Service is described as fast and polite by some, suggesting efficiency during peak hours.

However, we observe recurring concerns regarding customer service and pricing consistency.

Several reviews mention staff being impolite or lecturing customers over minor requests, such as asking for more coconut with puttu payam.

There are also complaints about inconsistent pricing, with customers being charged different amounts for the same order.

Additionally, the restaurant's minimum spend policy for PayNow transactions ($3 or $7, depending on the account) has been a point of contention for customers making small purchases.

We think these operational issues detract from the overall dining experience.

Verdict: A decent option for specific dishes like the Tosey Masala if you're in the Hougang area, but be prepared for potential inconsistencies in service and pricing, especially for smaller orders.

What customers say

Annuur Restaurant receives mixed reviews, with some customers praising the quality and taste of dishes like the soft Tosey Masala and non-oily Roti Prata with tasty dalca sauce, comparing it favorably to Tekka Market and Nasi Kandar.

However, significant negative feedback centers on inconsistent pricing and poor customer service, particularly regarding staff rudeness and stinginess with ingredients.

The restaurant's minimum spend policy for PayNow transactions is also a recurring point of frustration for many patrons.

The dalca is spicy. The prata is normal. They have a policy requiring minimum $7 for PayNow which I strongly disagree with cos PayNow is free (no transaction fee for merchants.....)

What rubbish, want to buy drink only but can’t buy because paynow minimum cap is $3. like as if the bank charge a service fee for paynow. Absolutely ridiculous. I suggest go to block 683 mamak no cap.
