Our take: Bedok Food Centre, formerly Bedok Corner, offers a wide array of local dishes, with a notable emphasis on halal options.
We see consistent praise for the variety, from Malay/Indonesian fare like nasi ayam penyet to Indian roti jala and Chinese Hokkien noodles.
Reviewers frequently highlight the 'authentic Kampong feel' and 'local price' point, making it an accessible option for everyday meals.
Popular stalls, such as those selling Hokkien noodles and satay, are often identified by their long queues.
While many drinks are noted to be on the sweeter side, the teh tarik and teh alia receive specific mentions for their quality.
The centre's proximity to the seaside also contributes to a pleasant dining atmosphere.
We think it's a solid choice for those seeking diverse local flavours, particularly if you're in the Upper East Coast area.
Worth the wait for the popular stalls, especially if you appreciate a good teh tarik.
