Our take: Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun in Bukit Batok has garnered a strong reputation for its freshly made, silky-smooth Chee Cheong Fun.
We note that the dishes are prepared upon order, which contributes to their quality but also means a short wait.
Reviewers consistently praise the texture and the balanced sweet soy sauce, sesame, and chili combination.
While the Chee Chee Cheong Fun is a clear highlight, there are also mentions of dim sum and HK Wanton Mee on the menu.
However, we've seen one report of sour pork ribs and an eyelash in a takeaway order, suggesting some inconsistency in quality control, especially for non-signature items.
Despite this, the overall sentiment points to a good value, tasty option for a hawker setting.
We recommend focusing on the Chee Cheong Fun and being prepared for a short wait, particularly if you're in the Bukit Batok area.
