Our editorial mission

STAMPEDE Editors publishes critical, opinionated coverage of food and beverage businesses in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Every brand profile is editorial: we synthesise public reviews, social video, food-media articles, and verified member feedback into a direct, specific, fair, and useful read.

We sound like a trusted friend who has eaten everywhere — not a PR writer. Specificity beats generic. We name dishes, outlets, service patterns. We surface honest criticism where the evidence supports it. We never invent visit details.

How we work

The STAMPEDE Score, STAMPEDE Editors note, and AI-synthesised TLDR for each brand are generated from a structured pipeline:

• Public sources. Google reviews, YouTube videos, TikTok content, food-media blog articles, and Instagram coverage about the brand are collected on a weekly cron.
• Verified member reviews.When a brand uses STAMPEDE's loyalty platform, post-visit member reviews (rating + comment, no PII) are folded into the same evidence pool. These carry higher trust than anonymous web content.
• Editorial synthesis.A Claude Sonnet pipeline reads the evidence pool and produces three outputs: a dimension-scored STAMPEDE Score, a TLDR with themes and sentiment, and an Editor's Note with a signature item, best time to visit, price range, and our take.
• Brand response.Brand owners who claim their listing can publish a response below the Editor's Note. We never silently rewrite the editorial line based on the response — readers see both.

Editorial standards

STAMPEDE publishes editorial opinions and aggregated public information about food and beverage businesses in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Editorial content — including the STAMPEDE Score, STAMPEDE Editors commentary, and AI-synthesised summaries — represents the opinion of STAMPEDE's editorial team and is not subject to removal at the request of any business. Factual errors (incorrect address, hours, contact information) may be corrected by claiming your free listing.

We follow a published set of constraints in the editorial pipeline: only state what the evidence supports, never fabricate visit details, omit dimensions where signal is thin, and exclude tooling-related complaints (loyalty programme execution, app issues, QR scanners) from editorial commentary about brand operations.

Corrections and factual errors

Brands and readers can request corrections to factual information — outlet addresses, opening hours, contact numbers, menu items that no longer exist. Email editors@stampede.sg with the brand name and the correction. Editorial opinion (Score, Editor's Note, TLDR) is not subject to correction requests; brand owners who claim their listing can publish a public response instead.
