Our take on Food Loft @ 159 is that it functions as a no-frills neighbourhood coffeeshop, offering a variety of stalls.
The Western food stall, M&B Food, appears to be a standout, with positive mentions for its Chicken Cutlet Carbonara.
Reviewers note the fish and chips ($7.90) from the Korean/Japanese stall as adequately fried, though some found the fries overdone and detected bicarbonate of soda in the fish.
The kopi-o is highlighted as a good option.
However, there are significant concerns regarding hygiene and staff conduct, with reports of a supervisor being rude and unhygienic practices, including sneezing into drinks and sightings of rats.
While the food variety is appreciated for its location, these operational issues are a major deterrent.
We'd recommend this only if you're in the immediate vicinity and are specifically looking for the Western stall's offerings, but with caution regarding the overall environment.

What customers say
Food Loft @ 159 offers a variety of stalls, with the Western/Japanese/Korean stall (M&B Food) receiving praise for dishes like chicken cutlet carbonara.
However, some customers find the fried rice bland and the fish and chips to have an off-taste.
A significant concern is the reported unhygienic practices and rude behavior of a supervisor named May, leading some long-term customers to stop visiting due to cleanliness issues like rats.

Tried fried rice that came with a fried egg and very little tiny bits of ingredients. Very flat and tasteless, probably the worst I have ever tried.
