Our take: Food Master at 19 Serangoon North presents a mixed bag, with some stalls standing out more than others.
We note consistent feedback regarding service issues, particularly from the beverage stall and the Songyang Caifan store, where customers have reported unhelpful attitudes and small portions.
Hygiene is also a concern, with mentions of flies in the food court.
However, the Korean stall receives positive remarks for its reasonably priced and generous portions of beef and saba, despite some complaints about mushy rice.
The fish soup, specifically with batang fish, is also highlighted as fulfilling.
While some dishes like fish & chips and burgers are not recommended, the chicken cutlet is noted for its size, though it can be oily.
We think this spot is best for those seeking specific dishes like the Korean beef and saba, or the batang fish soup, and are prepared to navigate potential service inconsistencies.
