Our take: Habib's Express in Sengkang presents a mixed bag of reviews, with a noticeable decline in sentiment over the past year.
Earlier patrons praised the non-oily prata and flavourful mutton curry, with some even finding the briyani good.
The mee goreng also received a positive mention, suggesting their noodle dishes might be a safer bet.
However, more recent feedback points to a significant drop in food quality, with one reviewer describing the taste as having gone from 'average to terrible' after a team change.
The coin prata, in particular, was criticised for being undercooked and oily.
While the $7 briyani offers a generous portion of rice, the chicken size is noted as small.
We think the inconsistency in food quality, especially the recent downturn, makes Habib's Express a risky proposition.
It seems the earlier positive experiences are no longer reliable indicators.
We'd recommend skipping this outlet for now, especially if you're looking for a consistently good meal.

Customer sentiment for Habib's Express is mixed, with some praising the flavorful mutton curry and non-oily pratas, while others express significant disappointment, particularly with the decline in food quality and service following a team change.
Specific issues include undercooked and mushy coin prata, and a perception that the briyani offers a large rice portion but small chicken for its price.
The Sengkang location's overall food quality is considered by some to have deteriorated from average to terrible.

Ordered two pratas and opted for mutton curry. Love that the pratas weren't oily and curry was flavourful, and came with a juicy portion of mutton. Friendly and fast service! Will patronise again.
Bought briyani twice from them it was good! So i thought would try the prata but the coin prata (takeaway), dough was not cooked thoroughly and was mushy due to too much oil absorbed. So disappointed
$7 for briyani. Rice alot, chicken not big. Taste ok
Situated in a very spacious coffee shop. Sad that we could only dine in 2s though. The mee goreng was not bad. Usually Habib express franchise shops all are not bad in their noodle dishes. I did see m…
