Editor’s Note

Last updated 30 May 2026

Our take: Happy Hawkers functions as a neighbourhood food court with a rotating cast of stalls.

We’ve seen consistent praise for the Indian-Muslim stall, particularly their Mee Hoon Goreng, which is noted for being consistently cooked 'just right' and priced affordably.

Their prata is described as 'doughy/chewy,' and they offer a wide selection including Indian Rojak and Kambing Soup.

The newly opened Hong Kong zi char stall has a standout Har Cheong Gai, which some reviewers call the 'best ever' due to its excellent batter and generous fried topping.

However, the food court struggles with stall consistency; some spots frequently change tenants or remain empty, which impacts the overall variety.

We also note recurring complaints about the dim sum stall, specifically its fried items like youtiao and fish balls, which are often criticised for tasting of old oil or being bland.

Service from the drinks stall can also be inconsistent, with some customers reporting 'unhappy hawkers.' Despite these issues, the affordable breakfast sets, like the $2.80 kaya toast and coffee, offer good value.

We think this is a reliable everyday option for residents, but not a destination meal.

Best for quick, affordable bites, especially on rainy days when the crowds are thinner.

What customers say

Happy Hawkers offers a diverse range of food options, with specific stalls receiving both high praise and strong criticism.

The Indian-Muslim stall is consistently lauded for its 'gorengs', chewy prata, and Indian rojak, while the new Hong Kong zi char stall's 'Har Cheong Gai' is a standout.

However, the dim sum stall is widely panned for its 'old oil' tasting fried items and 'tasteless' fish balls.

Operational issues include high stall turnover, perceived 'unhappy hawkers' at the drinks stall, and a persistent smoking problem in outdoor areas.

Your friendly neighbour eatery designed to feed the residents of this estate. Average service and good quality but eating lunch at 8pm, really cannot complain.
