Our take: This Hokkien Fried Prawn Noodle stall is known for its wet-style Hokkien mee, which many reviewers praise for its slurpable broth and fresh ingredients.
The $4 price point for a substantial portion is frequently highlighted as excellent value, especially given the quality of the prawns, sotong, and pork.
We note the consistent mention of freshly fried pork lard and the use of its oil for frying, which contributes to the dish's flavour.
The main point of contention, and a significant operational aspect, is the wait time.
Customers frequently report waits of 20-30 minutes, sometimes longer, particularly during peak hours.
The auntie managing orders and payments is described as efficient but can be perceived as brusque due to the high volume of customers.
While some find the lack of 'wok hei' a drawback, the chilli is consistently praised for its kick and ability to complement the noodles without overpowering the broth.
We think this is a solid option for those who appreciate a wetter Hokkien mee and are prepared for a wait.
Worth the queue if you're in the Bedok area and have time to spare.

Good hokkien mee! But the wait lol is based on the auntie and whether u trust her to know where u stand in the queue. Not for the faint hearted 💔

Wet type, no "wok hei" if thats what youre looking for. But the broth is good and amazingly slurpable even after 1+ hour. Chilli works well mixed in the noodles, doesnt cover the flavour of the broth.…
29/5/2025 Had fried hokkien mee ($4) for dinner, was quite good. Surprised to be able to get this dish for $4. Chilli was relatively spicy. Long queue, so be prepared to wait.
