Our take on Indian House (Costa Rhu) is that it serves as a convenient option for North Indian cuisine, particularly for those in the Tanjong Rhu area.
We note consistent praise for dishes like the Chicken Briyani, which is described as well-cooked with tender chicken, and the Gobi Manchurian.
The Palak Paneer, Garlic Naan, and Butter Chicken also receive positive mentions for their taste.
However, we observe recurring feedback about the food being expensive and, at times, quite oily.
There are also specific criticisms, such as the Papdi Chaat being dry and lacking traditional flavours, and the Tandoori Roti resembling a mini naan rather than a crisp roti.
Service can be slow due to overcrowding or high order volumes.
Despite these points, the kitchen seems accommodating to requests for less oil and spice.
We think it's a reliable takeaway or delivery option for North Indian food, especially if you're local and can specify your oil/spice preferences, but it's not a destination for a unique dining experience.

Ordered papdi chaat, tandoori roti and veg jalfrezi. Papdi chaat was the worst I've ever tasted. It was dry so it felt like eating mash potato and lacked the fusion of wet flavours of dahi and various…
