Our take: John Western appears to be a mixed bag, with some patrons praising its affordability and specific dishes, while others note a decline in quality over time.
The $9.50 pork chop is described as tender but thin, and the $7.50 fish and chips are highlighted for generous portions.
We see conflicting reports on the quality of the pork and chicken chops, with some finding them tender and others experiencing overcooked or undercooked meat.
The waiting times are also a point of contention, with some reviews mentioning long waits even when the stall isn't busy, potentially due to microwave use for some items.
We'd recommend focusing on the fish and chips or beef rendang, which seem to be more consistently praised.
Best for a quick, budget-friendly meal if you're in the Loyang Point area, but manage expectations regarding consistency and wait times.
Skip the peak dinner rush between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM for a smoother experience.

The pork chop I had came with a tasty sauce and it was tender, but it was a tad too thin. $9.50 for this combi plate.
Only good for the beef rendang and the baked rice thats about it. Atrocious waiting times even when place is empty, especially when most of their foods involves a microwave.
Delicious and affordable food! Highly recommend! Edit: was great but quality slowly getting worse. Pork chop - overcooked, dry and tough Chicken chop - undercooked Nuggets - feels reheated as tough…
This western food stall is located on 2nd floor of Loyang Point, in the food court near to Singapore Pools outlet. I love their chicken chop & pork chop as the meat is very tender and is easy to cut……
My regular go to when craving fish and chips for the generous portions, only at $7.50!
