Our take: Kasturi Nasi Padang presents a mixed bag based on public feedback.
While some patrons appreciate the variety of Malay food and reasonable pricing, consistent criticism points to issues with taste and quality.
The Mee Soto is described as diluted and lacking flavor, while the Mee Rebus gravy is noted as having a "funny taste" or being bland.
The Nasi Lemak sambal has been called cold, and the Nasi Padang itself has not met expectations for some.
There are also complaints about food being salty, not fresh, and overpriced, with one reviewer citing a $9 plate for one meat and two vegetables.
However, the lontong does receive a positive mention for being "delicious." We think this spot might be best approached with caution, perhaps sticking to the lontong if you're in the area.
Otherwise, it seems to be a hit-or-miss experience with significant quality control issues reported.
