Our take: Lao Wang Kampung Bean Sprout Chicken Rice in Jelita Mall earns consistent praise for its tender kampung chicken and flavourful rice.
We note multiple mentions of the chicken's 'bouncy bite' and the rice being 'sensational' and 'flavourful.' The chilli sauce, with its distinct lime flavour, also stands out as a highlight.
While the $6.80 price point for the chicken rice is noted as 'slightly high' by some, the overall sentiment points to good value for the quality received.
The JB curry chicken noodles also get a positive mention for tender chicken and moderate spice.
We think this is a solid option for those in the Bukit Timah area looking for a reliable chicken rice fix.
Best for a casual meal when you're already in the mall.
