Our take: Mei Ling Market & Food Centre stands out as a comfortable and clean hawker option, particularly for those in the Queenstown area.
Reviewers consistently highlight its spacious, airy environment and the ease of finding a seat, even during what would typically be busy periods.
This makes it a good choice for a relaxed meal without the usual hawker crowds.
While some stalls are noted for long queues, like the fishball noodles, the overall sentiment is that the centre offers a range of delicious and affordable local fare.
There's a slight discrepancy in observations regarding stall occupancy, with one reviewer noting many closed stalls, while others praise the variety.
We think it's best to approach Mei Ling as a reliable, no-frills option for a satisfying meal, especially if you value comfort and space over a bustling, comprehensive hawker experience.
It’s a solid choice for a quiet, everyday meal.
