Our take: Meng Hui Canteen serves as a local hub in Jurong West, offering a range of casual eats.

We see consistent praise for the chicken rice, which is noted as tasty and affordable, especially within an industrial area.

The mixed rice ('cai png') stall, however, appears to be a point of contention; while it frequently draws a long queue, some feedback indicates it can be expensive, with one reviewer citing a single egg and wing costing around $4.70.

Other stalls, including one offering 'China food,' also receive positive mentions for their quality and generous portions.

We think Meng Hui Canteen is a reliable option for a casual meal if you're in the area, particularly for the chicken rice, but be mindful of potential pricing inconsistencies at the mixed rice stall.

Worth a visit for a quick, no-frills lunch.

Just opened less than 2 months. Drinks stall is at okay pricing. Chicken rice quite tasty, affordable as well. Not sure why mixed rice “cai png” stall is always long queue. Will give if a try some day…

The Chinese economic rice and chicken rice is not bad and affordable (in the industrial area). The stall selling China food also not bad, can give it a try, although their portion is quite big though

Cai png expensive. 1 egg and 1 wing about $4.70. Not recommend
