Our take: Mono SG operates as a social enterprise focused on reducing food waste by offering rescued food items.

We see a strong emphasis on sustainability and community education in their model.

Customers can curate their own 'fill a box' selection, with prices starting from $10, and reports suggest a significant number of items can be included for this price point, such as 9 products for $10 or even 30 items for $18.

The experience is often described as unique and fun, with volunteers providing friendly service and sometimes offering additional freebies.

Many appreciate the opportunity to try new, often international, brands at reduced prices, making it a budget-friendly option for groceries while contributing to a good cause.

We think this is a worthwhile stop for anyone in the Chinatown area looking for an engaging shopping experience that aligns with sustainable practices.
