Our take: Mr Teh Tarik, a casual chain established in 2004, offers a range of South Indian and local dishes.
We see consistent praise for their Chapati ($3), described as warm, fresh, and mildly smoky, with a good texture for pairing with curries.
The Mutton Keema ($7) is noted for its generous minced mutton and robust spice blend, while the Mutton Soup ($9) is highlighted for its rich, strong broth and tender shank meat.
Local favourites like mee soto and mee rebus also receive positive mentions for their flavourful rempah and broth, though some feedback points to tough shredded chicken and undercooked noodles in the mee soto.
We also note a comment about burnt onions on fish and an unusual Hong Kong Steam fish preparation.
Overall, it appears to be a reliable spot for certain dishes, particularly the South Indian offerings.
Best for a casual, inexpensive meal, especially if you're in the mood for their chapati or mutton dishes.
Expect a slightly longer wait during peak dinner hours.
