Our take: Nks Restaurant appears to be a neighbourhood spot offering a mix of Indian and Malay dishes.
We note the free-flow curry for their biryani, which is a definite plus for those who like their rice well-drenched, though the biryani itself is described as only 'so-so'.
The prata receives mixed reviews, with some finding it crispy and others describing it as soft, served with a choice of three curries.
The Teh Tarik is highlighted as 'nice and smooth', with a recommendation to ask for the less sweet option.
The Kway Teow Goreng Ayam seems to be a standout, praised for being 'flavourful and tasty', priced at $6.00.
However, there's a strong dissenting opinion regarding its portion size for the price.
While some find the overall pricing reasonable and portions worthy, others feel the menu items are 'way too expensive' for what's offered.
We think Nks Restaurant is best for those in the Toa Payoh area looking for a quick, casual meal, particularly if you're keen on the Kway Teow Goreng Ayam or appreciate unlimited curry with your biryani.
It's a reliable everyday option, not a destination meal.

What customers say
Nks Restaurant generally receives positive feedback for its reasonable pricing and generous portions, with customers appreciating the self-service curry refill option for biryani.
While some dishes like crispy prata and flavorful kway teow goreng ayam are highlighted, the taste of the biryani is considered average by some.
A recurring concern is the perceived small portion size of certain dishes, particularly the kway teow goreng, which some feel is overpriced for its quantity.

Prata is the soft type, quite nice with the curry. Favourite is the kway tiao goreng ayam, flavorful and tasty.
Food is not bad and portion is worthy, will return. Place is clean and price is reasonable. Had the fish and chips last time, was good.
