Our take: Pha Muk Restaurant, tucked away in Golden Mile Tower, offers a taste of authentic Northern Thai cuisine.
The standout dish, the Yen Ta Fo Tom Yum, consistently receives high praise for its rich pink broth and generous amount of crunchy squid.
We note that some prefer the Yen Ta Fo less sweet, which is reportedly adjustable by requesting less of the red sweet sauce.
The Crab Laksa is another popular choice, lauded for its strong kaffir lime infusion and spicy, flavourful broth, often served with chicken feet.
While the fermented pork khao kua receives mixed reviews, the fried wonton skins are a recommended add-on.
The owner is noted for her friendly service and willingness to adjust spice levels to authentic Thai heat.
We think this spot is best for those seeking genuine Thai flavours in a relaxed setting, particularly if you're a fan of Yen Ta Fo or Crab Laksa.
A reliable everyday option, not a destination meal.

What customers say
Pha Muk Restaurant is highly praised for its authentic Northern Thai cuisine, particularly the Yen Ta Fo Tom Yum with its crunchy squid and pink broth, and the spicy, flavorful Crab Laksa with strong kaffir lime notes and tender chicken feet.
Customers appreciate the friendly 'auntie' owner who can adjust spice levels and the reasonable prices, though some find dishes like the papaya salad a bit salty or the Yen Ta Fo broth too sweet, suggesting requesting less red sweet sauce.
Seating is limited, but the atmosphere is generally relaxing with Thai music.

I love the Crab meat laksa. It was spicy and tasty. The fermented port salad is also recommended. Limited seating but it was not very crowded. The food are taste like homecooked meal.
Authentic Thai Food at reasonable prices! The auntie is very friendly and she can adjust the spices to thai levels 🔥 if you ask her to. First time trying her stewed pork noodles and it is delish! 😋
