Our take: Silat Avenue Porky Prawn Noodle Shop generally receives positive remarks for its broth, which is often described as flavourful, though some note a sweeter profile while others find it a bit light.
The inclusion of pork bones and prawn heads in the broth contributes to an 'old school taste' that resonates with some diners.
Ingredients like pork and innards are consistently well-cooked, and the addition of freshly deep-fried shallot oil is highlighted as a key flavour enhancer.
While the $6 Signature Prawn Mee Dry is praised for its flavourful soup and spicy chilli powder, some customers feel the meat portion, particularly in the $6 pig liver soup, can be on the smaller side.
We'd recommend this spot for a decent bowl of prawn noodles if you're in the Bukit Merah/SGH area, especially if you appreciate a broth with a hint of sweetness and don't mind potentially adding extra ingredients for a heartier meal.

What customers say
Silat Avenue Porky Prawn Noodle Shop generally receives positive feedback for its flavorful broth, often described as having an 'old school taste' and enhanced by freshly deep-fried shallot oil.
While some find the soup slightly sweet or light, the pork and innards are consistently well-cooked.
A recurring concern is the portion size of meat, particularly for the price, with some customers feeling it's 'pathetic' or 'quite little' for a $6 dish.

Came here for lunch with my colleague and honestly it tasted pretty decent. The soup is pretty flavourful though it was alittle more on the sweet side rather than savoury but still I did enjoy it alot…
Rated 3.5 stars on Google Maps. I find this prawn noodle shop not bad at all with nice broth boiled with pork bones and prawn heads. Old school taste for those who know. Ingredients were fresh and the…
This stall has a wide selection of prawn noodles. Pork and innards were well cooked but the soup was rather light. Portion was generous too. Friendly seller.
Got the pig liver soup. Considering it’s $6, the meat portion is quite pathetic. Soup is decent though. If I knew I may have added meat but regardless there is quite little meat for $6.
I ordered the signature prawn mee dry ($6). The soup was flavorful and the chilli powder was very spicy. Overall delicious.
