Our take: Sinar Malay Seafood, located in Kedai Kopi at Blk 376 Bukit Batok Street 31, offers a range of Malay and seafood dishes.
We note a consistent theme of satisfying, affordable meals, with dishes like the Thai style seabass and sambal lala receiving positive mentions for their sauces and inclusion of vegetables.
The steam fish is described as tasty, though potentially spicy for some palates.
The beef hotplate, however, seems to be an average offering.
A standout dish appears to be the siput sedut, which one reviewer specifically praised for its taste.
However, we also observe a significant concern regarding service.
One review highlights an unfriendly, 'take it or leave it' attitude, with food being packed carelessly in plastic bags instead of proper containers.
This suggests an inconsistency in customer experience that potential diners should be aware of.
We'd recommend Sinar Malay Seafood for those in the Bukit Batok area looking for an affordable and generally satisfying Malay seafood meal, particularly if you're keen to try the siput sedut.
Be prepared for potentially inconsistent service.
