Our take: Teban Market Place stands out as a budget-friendly hawker centre, particularly noted for its affordability in an increasingly expensive food landscape.
We see multiple mentions of dishes priced at $3 or $5.50, which is a significant draw.
The $2.50-$4 fishball noodles from JH Fishball Noodle are highlighted as one of the cheapest options available, though some reviews suggest the taste is 'so-so' but reasonable for the price.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere is described as pleasant and airy, with specific praise for the polite and friendly 'stewards' (cleaners) who contribute positively to the dining experience.
The variety of stalls, including a mixed vegetable rice stall, caters to a diverse crowd.
We'd consider this a solid option for those prioritising value and a comfortable, no-frills meal.
It's a reliable everyday option, not a destination meal.

For $5.50, this is totally worth it! Half piece of chicken with one samll drumstick and many dau poks!
JH Fishball Noodle. One of the cheapest fishball noodle in Singapore, $2.50/$3/$4. (Photo is showing $3 portion). Taste so-so, reasonable for the price.
Probably one of the few places you still can get food for $3 per serving. Large variety which caters to an aging population at Teban Gardens. The mixed veg rice stall is yummy and affordable.
