Our take on Telok Blangah Rise Market & Food Centre is that it serves as a quiet, neighbourhood hawker centre, offering classic, affordable dishes without the usual crowds.
Reviews highlight its peaceful atmosphere, making it a good option for a relaxed meal.
While the selection of stalls isn't extensive, the ones that are open tend to be popular with locals.
The Hai Yan fried kway teow consistently draws a queue, suggesting it's a standout.
We also note the SG Soya Sauce Chicken rice, priced at an economical $3.80, offers a substantial portion, though the rice and chilli might not impress everyone.
The Zi Char stall also receives praise, with the hotplate tofu being a particular favourite.
We'd recommend this food centre for those seeking a laid-back dining experience with reliable, budget-friendly hawker fare.
It's best for a weekday lunch when most stalls are open and the atmosphere remains calm.

What customers say
Telok Blangah Rise Market & Food Centre is praised for its peaceful, laid-back atmosphere and affordable, classic hawker fare, particularly the Zi Char and Hai Yan Fried Kway Mee.
While some stalls like SG Soya Sauce Chicken Rice offer good value with tender chicken, the rice and chili can be inconsistent.
A recurring issue is the limited number of open stalls, especially during off-peak hours, and the overall variety of food choices.

A small, laid-back hawker centre tucked in a quiet neighbourhood. Great for affordable, classic dishes. Not crowded, very peaceful & perfect for a relaxed meal without the tourist hustle
Come on a weekday 4.30pm. Only a few stalls opened. Clean environment. A lot of birds noise as it is near a bird shop. Lots of people queuing for Hai Yan fried kway mee. Ordered and ate … nice.
Tried the corner SG Soya Sauce Chicken rice because the other hawker near Blk. 25 2 stops away is closed for cleaning. Quiet place to dine with a busker singing away on a Tue afternoon. Chicken rice i…
I've been eating the Zi Char here since I was small, amazing food and the lady boss is always so nice. I always eat the hotpotplate tofu, it's to die for.
When opened, char kway teow and carrot cake are awesome stalls. Only downside to the place is that there aren't alot of choices but they mostly cater to the residents nearby.
