Our take: Tong Bee Coffee Shop offers a nostalgic, old-school coffee shop experience in a quiet Bedok neighbourhood.
The minced pork noodles (bak chor mee) are a clear draw, with many reviewers praising the generous portions and balanced flavours.
A large bowl of mee pok is noted to be just $3.50, making it an exceptionally affordable option.
While some find the noodles perfectly seasoned and the best they've had, others have been put off by the use of ketchup in the spicy version and overcooked noodles.
The laksa from another stall has also received positive mentions for its flavour.
We think this spot is best for those seeking a rustic, community-feel dining experience with budget-friendly options.
It's a reliable choice if you're in the area and appreciate a no-frills, hearty meal.
Verdict: A solid, affordable local haunt, particularly for its minced pork noodles, but manage expectations for consistency.

The minced pork noodles (bak chor mee/meepok) are a major draw, often described as flavorful, generous in portion, and excellent value for money, with some calling it the best in Singapore.
However, one customer found the meepok unappealing due to ketchup and overcooked noodles, despite the affordable price.

Saw many reviews n came to try the bak chor mee. Nothing fancy. Very old school style. Portion is huge for $4 though.
