Our take on Ubi Old Place Prawn Noodle is that it offers a solid, albeit slightly pricey, option for prawn noodles, particularly if you're in the Geylang area.
We've noted consistent praise for the pork ribs, described as "exceptional," "soft and flavourful," and worth the extra cost.
The soup also receives positive remarks for being "robust" and having a "decent and relatively clear taste." However, the prawns themselves and the noodles are often described as average, lacking a distinctive 'oomph'.
We also note that the stall only accepts cash payments, which might be inconvenient for some.
While the friendly service is a recurring highlight, the consensus suggests it's a good local spot, but perhaps not worth a special trip across the island.
Best for those who appreciate a strong pork rib component and a flavourful soup base.

Decent bowl of prawn noodles. Average taste, nothing to shout about. But the stall owners were quite friendly.
Moved down from ubi station as previous coffee shop changed to Kimly. Uncle still as friendly as before. Still serving delicious pigtail prawn noodles!
Old coffee shop serving very good prawn mee. Soup is robust full of flavor and noodles (mee pok) are chewy. Don’t need teeth for pork ribs. Tried dried mee pok with pork ribs. Service is friendly.
