Our take: Wen Ji Noodle offers a range of classic Chinese noodle dishes in Punggol, with a focus on straightforward preparations.
The menu features staples like Lor Mee, Laksa, and Fish Ball Noodle, generally priced under $10.
The Signature Lor Mee at $7.00 and the standard Lor Mee at $5.00 are popular choices, though some patrons note the gravy can be heavy on vinegar.
The Laksa, priced at $5.00, has received mixed reviews; while some praise its fresh cockles, others have found it bland with overcooked cockles, suggesting inconsistency.
We think it's a decent option if you're in the immediate vicinity, offering satisfying portions and flavourful soup.
However, the coffeeshop environment can be warm, and the Laksa tends to sell out early, or its quality can vary.
We'd recommend it as a reliable everyday option if you're already in the Punggol area, but not a destination meal to travel for.

Customers appreciate the fresh cockles in the Laksa, though some note recent inconsistencies in taste and overcooked cockles, potentially due to a change in cooks.
The eatery is considered a good local option for those in Punggol, but not a destination worth traveling for, and the coffeeshop environment can be warm.

date of visit: 2026-04-26 sunday ordered lor mee - gravy is nice, auntie added too much vinegar. will reorder next time and request lesser vinegar 👍🏻 menu: fish ball kway teow soup (3 balls) $3.50…
I love their laksa, super fresh hum. Sadly it is always sold out pretty early. Edited post: Seems like they changed the cook. Laksa is bland, cockles are overcooked.
Decent noodles. I like the big hums in laksa. Coffeeshop inside traps heat, can be quite warm.
It's actually not bad, I like it. Good taste, portions, flavourful soup. Not something to travel for, but a nice meal if you're in the area.
