Our take: YiJia Seafood in Bukit Batok offers a range of seafood stir-fry dishes in a non-air-conditioned coffeeshop setting.
While the overall taste is described as mediocre by some, the Curry Fish Head and Prawn Paste Chicken are frequently highlighted as must-try items.
The Salted Baked Crabs also receive a positive mention for a change of taste.
We note that portions are generally generous, with one review indicating a meal for 8 costing around $130, suggesting good value for groups.
However, a recurring theme is the significant waiting time for food, particularly during peak periods like Mother's Day, where waits of 45 minutes to an hour were reported.
Service can also be chaotic during busy times, with issues like unallocated reservations.
We'd recommend visiting on a weekday to avoid the long waits and potential service hiccups.
It's a reliable option for a casual, hearty meal, but not ideal for special occasions requiring prompt service.

What customers say
YiJia Seafood in Bukit Batok receives mixed reviews, with customers praising specific dishes like the Curry Fish Head and Prawn Paste Chicken Wing, and the unique Salted Baked Crabs.
However, a recurring concern is the consistently long waiting times for food, especially during peak or festive periods, leading to service inconsistencies and confusion over order sequencing.
The non-air-conditioned coffeeshop environment also contributes to discomfort during warm weather.
Google Reviews
Coffeeshop is non air conditioned and the warm weather did not help. It’s Mother’s Day today so diners tonight were especially more and there were abit of chaotic and slow dish delivery to the tables.…
Curry fish head and the Prawn Paste Chicken Wing is the must order here. Something the wait is long, I usually go on weekday.
The salted baked crabs was a nice change of taste. The dishes and food is generally nice, however, the preparation time and waiting time for the food is terribly long.
