Our take: Haryati's is a Clementi Malay stall with a loyal following and a menu that punches above typical coffeeshop range — nasi lemak, nasi padang, soto ayam, ayam penyet, and satay all feature.
At its best, this is genuinely home-cook-quality food: the soto ayam draws praise for its clear, flavourful broth (served with chicken feet, bean sprouts, and rice cake), and the ayam penyet has earned repeat customers who struggle to find a comparable version elsewhere.
The nasi lemak sambal also gets specific mentions for its balance of sweetness and heat.
The trouble is consistency.
Multiple reviewers flag the same problems across different visits: wrong dishes substituted without notice, rubbery sotong that reads as reheated, and sambal goreng with off-putting smell.
Pricing compounds the frustration — Mee Rebus at $4.50 plus $0.90 for an egg sits uncomfortably against coffeeshop surroundings, and at least one customer reports being quoted different prices for the same takeaway order on separate occasions.

It's a nasi padang eatery but hot d@mn - they have 4 kinds of chili ! (check out my photos) From nasi lemak sambal type to super hot limey sambal belachan. The ayam penyet is nice enough (the fried batter is just not as crispy as i would expect), but when u add in the lemak padi gravy, begedil and all 4 types of sambal, the dish is VERY satisfying. Chili-heads, give this place a try if you are in the neighbourhood. While i mourn the passing of Ayam Taliwang, this place is an acceptable substitute for a chili fix :) Update 2024 : they seem to have moved from owning an entire unit at the junction of west coast & clementi road to a hawker stall in clementi ave 6. Ah well, good while it was nearby :)

Was in Clementi and tired their nasi lemak. The sambal was excellent with a little sweetness and a spicy kick, very well balanced. The fried chicken was nice too and they gave a lot of kacang and ikan bills. Highly recommended. Would love to try their nasi Padang if I’m around the area, worth trying.

ordered via grab on a sick day. soto ayam chicken feet and her sambal kicap was spot on. generous amount of bean sprouts shredded chicken and rice cake with 3 pcs of chicken feet. clear soup not oily and cloudy but super flavorful. dont worry its not msg. will return to her shop one day.
