Our take: Lickers has earned its 11-year run in Singapore's dessert scene by doing two things well — a rotating, genuinely creative flavour roster and a waffle that reviewers consistently describe as airy and melt-in-mouth rather than the dense, doughy norm.
Standouts include the rich Mao Shan Wang durian ($14.50 for a waffle set), the much-loved Honeycomb gelato, and truffle fries that regulars order as a salty counterpoint to the sweetness.

I've never had such fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth waffles before! They tater tots are good, especially dipped in the sauce. There are lots of ice cream flavours and they're all very special. The highlight was the waffle ice cream cone. The way my mind exploded when my lips touch the cone because it crumbles almost immediately. It was thick enough to hold your ice cream and thin enough that you don't have to crunch into it! Also there's only 1 staff working and dude served everyone rather quickly. That's what I called quality work. Please get more staffs so he doesn't get overworked.

The gelato is to die for here, had the honey comb and the varhona. The brewed tea, presumably made fresh - was otherworldly. We had the strawberry Lime. Contrary’s to some reviewers’ comments abt the too espressoness of the americano, I can only say the coffee is first rate and the aroma is stunning and it is a perfect paring with the ice cream. Most importantly this is a place that makes people happy: everyone around me was having a great time and us too!

Licker's ice cream at Hougang has been one of my go-to spots for ice cream, and I've been back many times. They have a great selection of flavours, so there's always something new to try. My personal favourites are the Pistachio and any flavour with truffle—they're rich, creamy, and packed with flavour. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely keep coming back! 👍💪👌👀
