Our take: San Gu Cuisine sits firmly in the underrated-zichar category — a Sichuan-leaning stall that has built a decade-long following by keeping portions generous and prices honest, with most dishes landing between $7 and $13.
The 剁椒鱼 (steamed fish with spicy chili) is the standout that regulars point to first, and the eggplant stir-fry draws equally devoted fans.
Beyond the hits, the menu spans enough Northern Chinese territory — steamed dumplings, braised beef slices, kung pao chicken, even 北方馒头 — to keep a table of four well occupied.
We'd note that not every dish fires on all cylinders: the 辣子鸡 (Chongqing chicken) is bone-heavy, and at least one reviewer flagged the 回锅肉 as occasionally underpowered on flavour.

But the things they do well, it's really textbook. 回锅肉 lacks a bit of flavour this time but everything else is just on the money (ofc, that's with me knowing exactly what to order) Second visit on Google: The stir fried intestines was actl deep fried, it's abit too spicy from the chili flakes but the deep fried intestines rlly have good flavour from brining. Braised beef slices are lovely, it's diff from normal because most of the times it's got bite. This one still has bite but it's gelatinous too. Stir fried beancurd was so simple and comforting, well executed

Food is amazing, great flavors, good price and really really good portions. Every dish we have tried so far has not disappointed. It's been so long since we got decent food at this price. Our top go to are 水煮肉片，孜然羊肉，口水鸡 The only downside is the sitting space which is your normal hawker except might be even hotter since you sit close to the kitchen, all sides are kind of sealed and fans are really small.

This is one of the most underrated zichar stall in Singapore. Generous food portion at affordable pricing. You can pre-order crabs or grouper fish one day in advance, 剁椒鱼is the best here. We frequent this stall at least once weekly and most dishes are highly recommended. Very rare to have 北方馒头as a staple locally. Better to call and order your food in advance as waiting time could be long on weekends.
